Vox Members I ask you...

I don't know the correct way, but I can recommend an alternative.

"Yes, you are correct. I am straight".

That's saying 'yes' three times, in different ways, all in one sentence. So the questioner should understand it clearly.

What Aina said. Yes.

If you are asked BY A WOMAN if you are straight, and you are, just say. Yes.

If she is attractive, you could add...are you asking for you or someone else?

Yeah just say yes! simple.
Ms. Liyana, I like you alt. its clear.

Haha...your suggestion at the end is sexy. Will raise the stakes for sure.
Hi, my 2 brothers and I are thinking of moving to SF from MI. Our sister already lives there and when we visit we have a good time. She has only lived there a short while though. We were wondering if we should move SF being 3 single straight guys. We are very open, tolerant, and get along with anybody. Are there enough single straight women in SF for us? In what part of SF would you live?
[this is good]
3 guys, I recommend the Marina, Nob Hill, or Soma...these are priciest areas to live, but if you are going to share space, then live in those areas. I live in the lower haight because I want to live in the city but I don't want to share my space with no roomates. Those 3 areas I mentioned to you are pretty mixed, and plenty of successful beautiful woman who complain they cannot find a man in sf, so their you have it. Mission is pretty cool for night life!
"My brother said I should never ask a woman if she straight or gay because it should not matter"
But it's a major part of someone's personality so if you're being friendly it's a normal and polite thing to ask in any situation, same as you'd ask where they live, what their occupation, hobbies are etc. Really the issue is how the question is asked, not answered. If you're not sure how the question is intended you could just say "Why d'you ask?".
[this is good]
I like your perspective.
