I thought I should write about Hotel Biron on 45 Rose Street in San Francisco...It was a wonderful place. There was no laptops out, and there was no cocktails being served, just a world class selection of wines from all corners of the planet and cheese, in a hole in the wall environment. The ambience, was decorated by local artist' works. The music was a serenata to anyone's ears. The people were smart, really good looking individuals, who are not new to the San Francisco scene. Every woman here was beautiful, including my date. I just had hard time keeping my eyes on her. The Hotel Biron is an excellent place to get to know someone, without the interruptions of food at a restaurant or, the traffic of a coffee shop with the Apple laptop reminding you that you should be checking VOX neighborhood.
Saint Patrick's Day, many people go out for green beer. It's like the Irish Cinco de Mayo. A celebration people drink, even though they do not know why St. Patricks is celebrated. Here is a summary of Wikipedia entry to it:
The person who was to become St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born in Roman Britain about AD 385. His given name was Maewyn, and he almost didn't get the job of bishop of Ireland because he lacked the required scholarship.
Far from being a saint, until he was 16, he considered himself a pagan. At that age, he was sold into slavery by a group of Irish marauders that raided his village. During his captivity, he became closer to God.
He escaped from slavery after six years and went to Gaul where he studied in the monastery under St. Germain, bishop of Auxerre for a period of twelve years. During his training he became aware that his calling was to convert the pagans to Christianity.
He wished to return to Ireland and to convert the native pagans to Christianity, but his superiors instead appointed St. Palladius. However, two years later Palladius transferred to Scotland. Patrick, having adopted that Christian name earlier, was then appointed as second bishop to Ireland.
Patrick was quite successful at winning converts which upset the Celtic Druids. Patrick was arrested several times, but escaped each time. He traveled throughout Ireland, establishing monasteries across the country. He also set up schools and churches which would aid him in his conversion of the Irish country to Christianity.
His mission in Ireland lasted for thirty years. After that time,
Patrick retired to County Down. He died on March 17 in AD 461. That day
has been commemorated as St. Patrick's Day ever since.
Now that you know a little about St Patrick's you can be knowledgeable green, orange, and white drinker. Also, you might be able to teach a true Irish a thing or two about St. Patrick's but only do it if they are cool. Also, a cool idea for you to wear to Danny Doyle's is a Shamrock, and you should wear it on your hat. This is the first time, I will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day in San Francisco, so I will let you know how it goes.
Its embarrassing. Here is a satire that is soo funny, I had to share it with you who don't watch that much tv, or soon to be iTV.

Tell me Do you think is harder to meet people in this environment? Read on...
In San Francisco, I am coming to understand the rules of the game at a bar are different.
Team 1: Guy trying to meet a girl at a bar.
Team 2: Girl trying to meet a guy
Team 3: Girl trying to meet another girl
Team 4: Guy trying to meet other guy.
In San Francisco, after a few tequila shots, Irish car bombs, and other cheap mixers with vodka, the playing field will get blurry. You won't know who's on which team.
What I am learning is that the most beautiful women in this city have guy friends already (usually a mission impossible at other cities), and it would be a great strategy to use a flank attack on the most beautiful woman at any bar in San Francisco...its ok to say start conversation to her male friend after you recognize that he is on team 4. After landing in her group, launch an attack after her, and make sure she knows you were always after her from the beginning.
Now once you are making contact with the girl, watch out. There are Team 3 girls out there and they will be after the girl you want, this is inevitable in San Francisco, and new to me. Usually, when you are talking to a girl at a bar it meant that another girl wanted me, but that is not the case anymore.
Even though they are 4 teams in the game instead of two, so far I have not seen any violence in San Francisco because of the greater membership of teams playing the game, atleast not anymore than you would see in a straight bar.
Do you think is harder to meet people in this environment?
What is the correct phrase to answer to the question 'you are straight right?'
My brother said I should never ask a woman if she straight or gay because it should not matter, unless you are interested. Fortunately, so far women speak clearly with body language in San Francisco much louder than in LA that they are into YOU.
But when you are asked if you are straight; this is probably one of the most difficult questions to answer in San Francisco as a newbie. First of all, because you do not want to use a tone of voice that will insult a gay man that is in the vicinity. You also have to use the correct words for example:
"wtf? Do I look gay?" wtf is cool online but doesn't sound great in a pricey setting.
"Pardon me, but I am not into men" sounds soft, woman might still question that.
"I don't swing that way towards the men" eh sounds divebar behavior.
"I love the ladies" sounds good but its still missing something...
"I am straight, and I love the ladies" with a clear tone of voice.
What do you think is the right phrase for a straight guy to answer when he is asked if he is straight by a woman?
I thought I share this with you...Run Puppies Run! By the way each puppy is valued at $2500 Yorkshire Terriers.
This is what they look like:
Was that an earthquake in San Francisco?
It was also felt in the South Bay....
My 1912 building was sure rattling and heard wood cracking...I don't like earthquakes, and I am on the second floor of a 4 story building...I don't think this building is gonna make it in 8.5 quake.
Hopefully everyone there is ok.
